Dnamics

The department promotes holistic student development of students by organizing various activities throughout the year. GENESIS is the annual departmental fest which is organized by the departmental society DNAmics under the guidance and supervision of faculty members. The fest provides a dynamic platform for students to plan and execute diverse events fostering teamwork and organizational skills.

Students actively participated in Hindi Diwas, celebrated by the University of Delhi, contributing to activities aimed at promoting the Hindi language and cultural awareness. In addition, the department organized Swachhata Pakhwada during the year, engaging students in cleanliness drives and awareness activities to promote hygiene, environmental responsibility, and civic consciousness.

The department also emphasizes skill development through hands-on training programmes. A Primer Designing Workshop was organized in collaboration with the Skill Centre of the College, providing students with practical exposure to molecular biology tools and bioinformatics-based approaches. Further, under the aegis of Unnat Bharat Abhiyan initiative of the Ministry of Education, students are encourages to participate in various national-level hackathons and innovation challenges, wherein they have demonstrated excellence by securing winning positions, including recognition as winners at EduThon 2025. Collectively, these initiatives reflect the department’s commitment to experiential learning, innovation, and community engagement, in line with the objectives of the National Education Policy 2020.

Unnat Bharat Abhiyan initiatives


Project “Raktsetu”, submitted by Ajay Kushwaha (BMS, 3rd Year) and his team, was shortlisted for presentation at the Idea One Hackathon. The Team presented their work on 3 November 2025 at the Idea One Hackathon held in Jaipur under the Unnat Bharat Abhiyan initiative of the college.
