DARPAN, the Dramatic Society of Bhaskaracharya College of Applied Sciences, University of Delhi, continues to serve as a vibrant platform for students to explore their creativity, develop confidence, and express themselves through the performing arts. Every year, enthusiastic students from diverse academic backgrounds become a part of the society by participating in auditions, embarking on a journey of learning, growth, and artistic excellence.
The society believes that theatre is not merely a form of entertainment but a powerful medium for personality development, teamwork, discipline, leadership, and effective communication. Under the constant guidance of dedicated faculty members, experienced seniors, and alumni mentors, members receive training in acting, voice modulation, stagecraft, script reading, improvisation, and production managemen while fostering meaningful friendships and lifelong connections.
A major highlight of DARPAN's annual calendar is Zameen Parasti, the society's flagship theatre festival organized as a part of the college's annual cultural fest, Srijan .The event celebrates the spirit of theatre by bringing together talented performers and audiences to appreciate meaningful artistic expressions.
Throughout the academic year, DARPAN actively represents the college at various inter-college theatre competitions and cultural festivals, showcasing its talent and dedication on prestigious platforms. The society also presents its annual theatre production, focusing on significant social issues and contemporary challenges affecting Indian society.
