1. Vande Mataram: Emotional Nationalism vs Practical Patriotism (21 January 2026)

The Debate Club Confianza organized an engaging group discussion on the theme “Vande Mataram: Emotional Nationalism vs Practical Patriotism.” The event encouraged students to critically examine the difference between symbolic expressions of patriotism and meaningful actions toward nation-building. Participants shared diverse viewpoints and debated how emotional devotion to the nation should translate into responsible civic behavior. The discussion promoted analytical thinking, respectful dialogue, and awareness of contemporary national issues. 2. The Nostalgia Bench (10 February 2026)

The Nostalgia Bench was a unique debate-style event organized by Confianza – The Debate Club during Srijan’26. Participants were assigned characters and asked to present arguments related to themes inspired by childhood memories and perspectives. Each participant delivered an initial argument followed by an open parliamentary-style debate. The event emphasized creativity, spontaneity, and persuasive speaking without the use of notes or electronic devices. It encouraged students to blend storytelling with logical reasoning.

3. The Multiverse Mandate (11 February 2026)

The Multiverse Mandate was an interactive debate event designed to simulate courtroom debate. Participants functioned as courtroom units, presenting arguments on case-based motions provided on the spot. Each speaker was given two minutes to defend their clause, after which judges evaluated the arguments on logic, clarity, and relevance. The format tested participants’ critical thinking, quick reasoning, and persuasive communication skills.
