he Astronomy Club of our college is a vibrant student community dedicated to exploring the wonders of the universe. Established with the vision of nurturing scientific curiosity and promoting observational astronomy, the club provides a platform for students to engage in both academic and recreational activities related to space science.

  1. Objectives

  • Promote interest in astronomy among students through lectures, workshops, and sky-watch sessions. 
  • Encourage scientific thinking and research in space science and astrophysics. 
  • Provide hands-on experience with telescopes, sky charts, and digital tools for stargazing. 
  • Organize collaborative events with other institutions and astronomy societies. 
  • Develop leadership and teamwork through student-led initiatives and projects. 

Activities

  • Sky Watch Programs: Night sky observations of planets, stars, and celestial events. 
  • Guest Lectures & Workshops: Sessions by experts in astronomy and astrophysics. 
  • Educational Trips: Visits to observatories, planetariums, and universities (e.g., Sky Watch 3.0 at Kirori Mal College, University of Delhi). 
  • Creative Projects: Designing the club logo, managing social media pages, and publishing newsletters. 
  • Student Engagement: Identifying enthusiastic members and assigning responsibilities for smooth functioning.
